Irion Released Mugshots and Records
A booking photograph is created in connection with a specific arrest or jail booking. Release does not change what the image depicts, but it changes how the caption should read. The neutral description is a booking photograph from the named booking and date. Calling the person a current inmate after release would be inaccurate.
Texas Government Code chapter 552 broadly covers photographs and electronic information held for official business, yet exceptions can apply. Pending cases, juvenile confidentiality, expunction, privacy, security, victim information, and other protected material may support withholding or redaction. A sheriff is not required to publish every booking photo on a website.
The image also proves less than many readers assume. It does not prove guilt, case disposition, release reason, or current location. Match it to the booking number and then use the court docket and release record to understand what happened.
Where Irion Released Mugshots Appear
Irion has no official photo roster of its own. Its Sheriff navigation points to Tom Green County, which operates the relevant Current and Released views for the documented regional holding arrangement. Search the exact booking, then confirm the arresting agency and case so an unrelated Tom Green arrest is not mistaken for an Irion matter.

Irion Release Roster Photos
The official Tom Green Released roster is the strongest recent web source for a person held there after an Irion arrest. Cards can show a booking photograph, name, booking number and time, age, address, release time, charges, and a profile link. The list does not consistently state the legal release reason or destination.
The displayed release time should be read as exit from that booking. It may reflect bond, time served, transfer, TDCJ commitment, or another disposition. Search the Current view as a cross-check and ask the holding agency for the release code when the destination matters. The Irion recent-release method explains how to compare displayed times because no fixed 24-hour filter exists.
The roster is short and no retention promise is posted. At research time it showed a limited set spanning less than three days, but that observation is not a policy. When a card rolls off, request the booking photograph by number.

The interface makes the custody boundary visible: Current and Released are separate views, and a released card must still be matched to its Irion case.
Request an Irion Booking Photo
Send the request to the agency that created or holds the image. Irion Sheriff may control the arrest and transfer record, while Tom Green may hold the jail booking photo. A request to one agency does not require it to collect another body's records.
- Identify the booking. Give the full legal name, aliases, date of birth, arrest date, Irion incident or cause number, and Tom Green booking number when known.
- Name the requested image. Ask for the booking photograph tied to that booking, along with enough booking and release fields to authenticate it.
- Use the Texas PIA route. Cite chapter 552 and send the request through the agency's designated method. Ask for electronic delivery.
- Address costs narrowly. Request a written, itemized estimate before charges exceed a stated limit. No verified flat Irion booking-photo fee was found.
- Ask for the legal basis of withholding. Request segregable, non-exempt fields and written identification of any exception or redaction.
- Preserve the response. Keep the request, agency reply, image metadata, and booking identifiers together.
Texas law calls for prompt production. Ten business days is generally tied to seeking an Attorney General decision to withhold, not an automatic promise that every request will be produced within that period. For records that cannot then be produced, the body communicates a reasonable availability date.
Irion Mugshots Beyond Jail Records
Commercial pages may mirror old cards or infer jail facts. Their Irion descriptions deserve special caution because some describe a large local jail even though the Texas Commission on Jail Standards reports zero rated Irion capacity. Such pages are leads only. Verify every image and claim with the Sheriff, physical jail, and court.
Selected Irion Sheriff social posts or Tom Green press releases can contain arrest photographs. News selection is not systematic and does not show everyone released. A later court disposition may also change the context. No commercial mugshot publisher, data broker, or paid removal service is linked or endorsed.
The Texas DPS Sex Offender Registry displays official photos for persons with a registration duty. That image and record confirm a registry entry, not the date or reason for release from an Irion or Tom Green booking. Absence from the registry proves nothing about a general arrest or release.
Correct or Remove Irion Mugshots
Texas uses expunction and orders of nondisclosure, and they do different work. Expunction can require covered agencies to remove or destroy qualifying records. Nondisclosure limits general public access to covered criminal-history information but contains government exceptions. Eligibility depends on the offense, disposition, completion, prior history, and current law. An arrest alone does not answer that legal question.
When an order exists, send a certified copy to the actual custodian and identify the exact booking and image. Tom Green controls its jail-card photo. Irion controls its own arrest record. A clerk controls the docket. Ask for a written response rather than assuming one agency's change will propagate to every other system.
Texas Business & Commerce Code chapter 109 regulates certain paid removal and correction practices involving criminal-record publication. It does not ban all publication, and it does not order a sheriff to place a mugshot online. Review the publisher's duties and the effect of a qualifying order before paying any intermediary.
Irion Released Mugshot Policy
Irion's practical publication policy is regional. The county does not host its own photo roster, but its official Sheriff navigation sends users to Tom Green. Tom Green's Released cards carry images when available. That official referral is why the regional roster is more reliable than a commercial page claiming to depict an Irion jail operation.
Once a photo leaves the short public list, request it from the real custodian. Chapter 109 addresses defined commercial conduct, not the agency's duty to publish. A lawful denial or redaction can still apply under the Public Information Act.

Irion Mugshots in Apps and News
Tom Green advertises an official Sheriff mobile app on the same site as its roster. The app is a valid agency channel, but its current inmate, released-inmate, photo, and archive features must be checked in the live version. Its existence does not prove that it keeps images longer than the website.
No official Irion Sheriff app or systematic Irion release-photo feed was found. The Irion Sheriff has a social presence, yet selected posts are agency news, not a full booking or release archive. A missing post does not mean a person was not booked, and a retained post does not mean the person remains in custody.

The app page supports using the mobile channel as a source, while the booking record remains the basis for authentication.
For a past Irion release, preserve the photo's source date and booking number. That small record prevents a later image from being confused with the local booking and helps the custodian answer a correction request.
A narrow photograph request should also ask for enough non-exempt context to authenticate the file. Useful fields include the booking number, booking date, arresting or committing agency, charge or cause number, and the image's creation date. If the agency withholds or redacts part of the response, ask it to identify the legal basis and release any separable public fields. A certified jail-book entry may be requested when proof of the booking association matters more than a web copy.
TDCJ follows a different photo path. Its standard no-charge email information service can provide listed offender and incarceration facts, but it expressly does not provide photographs. No stable official archive of photos for all discharged TDCJ prisoners was verified. A request for a state image must therefore use the TDCJ Public Information Act route and may receive a lawful denial or redaction. A county booking photo should not be requested from TDCJ unless TDCJ actually created or holds that record.
The regional roster can also display an image-unavailable placeholder. That absence does not prove no photograph was taken. It only shows what the public card supplied at that time. Ask the physical booking agency whether an image exists and whether it is releasable. Conversely, a visible image does not prove that the person remains jailed. The Released label and timestamp refer to the booking event, and later custody must be checked in the correct current system.
Corrections should track the source. A wrong name or charge on a Tom Green card goes to Tom Green. A disputed Irion arrest or transfer entry goes to Irion Sheriff. A court disposition belongs with the clerk, while a state sentence field belongs with TDCJ. Send documentary support and request a written response so the correction history remains tied to the exact record.
Release status should always come from the matching event record, not from the continued presence of an image.
